Message from the Principal

“It is only in our darkest hours that we may discover the true strength of the brilliant light within ourselves that can never, ever, be dimmed.”Doe Zantamata

My warmest greetings to all! I hope everyone is well and getting through these unprecedented times. This year has been full of challenges. The lives of many changed including ours. The world somehow came to a halt bringing almost everyone to their feet. Jobs lost, schools were put to a stop, and the saddest of all...some lives were taken. And when we are already starting to rise again, then came the typhoons hitting us much harder.

Along with these tough times, however, families were brought together. People worked hand in hand to respond to the different calls for help. We have once again seen and enjoyed nature’s beauty. Our ingenuity and innate desire to survive brought out the best in us enabling us to adapt to the changing times. We have learned to appreciate even the little things that we used to set aside like the time spent with people that we care about. Seeing all these, I have no doubt in my mind that we will get through together.

To my dear SouthHillians, let these trying times be our very own teacher. Together let us welcome and embrace the challenges we are all facing. And with this, I call on every SouthHillian to continue in pursuing your dreams, to keep on learning and discovering your strengths. To keep the light burning inside you as you live by the virtues of truth, charity, justice and excellence. By doing so, we are helping the world to get back up and move forward. We are showing the world that we are willing to fight this battle. We are showing everyone that we will continue to thrive in this trying times! We will survive, together!

As the year 2020 comes to a close, let us look forward to a new year with hope that everything will be better. Let us continue to have faith in ourselves that we can do better. Most of all, let that brilliant light inside us continue to be stronger than ever.

Good luck and keep safe, SouthHillians! May God bless us all!
